It came down to just spamming the interactions with the elders, and I beat the first aspiration for spells in like 2-4 hours. Like yeah, you could have a sim drink potions to stay there, but it's not the same. I wanted to live in the magical world, not have my sim run to a gate to get there and need to return home to sleep. I got it during the new year sale and I'm disappointed.
